Use this time to walk over to the Naval Academy.

General Information:

  • Suggested attire for the day is business casual
    • Please note no ripped jeans or athletic wear allowed at the USNA
    • Bring your navy blue trash hat for a group photo (the hat in your swag bag)!
    • Wear comfortable shoes (sneakers suggested) as the USNA is big and there will be lots of walking
    • GEMs (motorized carts) will be available – Please let us know if you will be needing this service


Entering The United States Naval Academy

  • Enter USNA through Gate 1 which is the closest entrance from the hotel. The pedestrian entrance is located at the intersection of Prince George Street and Craig Street- This entrance is approximately a 10-minute walk (.4 miles)

Visitors to the USNA must have a valid government-issued ID and Foreign nationals need a valid passport to enter.

Plan to get to the USNA early if you want to visit the Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center to take in an impressive, high-tech exhibit that captures the mission of the Naval Academy, student life as a midshipman, and their exciting career paths as commissioned officers. Then enter the Visitor Center and watch its moving 13-minute film, The Call to Serve, which repeats every 15 minutes. The exhibit area is a mini-museum, with several interactive screens, including informational maps and guidance to help you orient yourself on the Yard. With over 700 photographs and incredible heart-stopping photography of the U.S. Naval Academy’s most iconic moments, you’ll feel the spirit right from the start.

Visit the USNA gift shop located in the Visitor’s Center and use your 20% off coupon on one item and get some USNA swag! Please note, the USNA is cashless throughout the yard, and only accepts credit or debit cards.

Meet at the Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center Auditorium located in the Visitor’s Center.

  • Welcome to the Conference – Kerri Mead-Bell
  • Join us for a fireside chat with Willie K. Goode, President and CEO of the Goode Companies, Inc., one of the largest privately held waste management and transportation companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. We will hear Willie’s story of how he started and overcame obstacles along the way to get to where he is today!

  • Walk to Tecumseh Court, right outside of Bancroft Hall and watch the impressive noon meal formation. Against the stunning backdrop of the massive Beaux Arts Bancroft Hall, you’ll see thousands of Midshipmen marching into Tecumseh Court and then standing at perfect attention. The excitement is palpable!
  • This tradition started in 1905 to keep track of Midshipmen, and it’s an evolution of the way in which troops were mustered, or assembled for roll call, during the Civil War. Today’s version is more for pageantry than practicality, but it is just as important.

  • Learn the secret to the Navy's success. For over 176 years, the USNA has been producing extraordinary naval leaders. Learn how their 17–23-year old’s are trained to serve as leaders in the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps.

2:30 PM - 4:00 PMGuided Tour of USNA

Continue the USNA Corporate Leadership Program with a guided tour of the USNA in smaller groups led by Naval Academy graduates and retired career service personnel

4:00 PM - 6:00 PMTour Wraps and Free Time to Explore, Work, Etc.

A day at the USNA wraps up! Free time to catch up on work and explore quaint downtown Annapolis filled with historic landmarks, scenic views of the Chesapeake Bay, shops, restaurants and historic pubs

Grow your Creativity and Bury your Stress! We will build a terrarium and hear from the owner of Terrarium Workshops of how building a terrarium requires attention to detail, which can promote mindfulness and reduce stress. This focus on the present moment can help reduce negative thoughts and mental clutter, which is beneficial for those experiencing anxiety or depression. This exercise also provides a sense of achievement, boosting self- esteem and providing a positive reinforcement loop. Watching the plants grow over time also gives a sense of ongoing success and nurturing.
