Julia Arambula holds the position of senior vice president, operations - environmental solutions. In this role, she leads field industrial service and hazardous waste disposal services operations in the United States and Canada. She is responsible for ensuring superior customer service, executing the operational plan and achieving operational and financial results.
Julia has been with Republic Services for 22 years. Prior to this role, Julia led the recycling and waste field operations for the eastern half of the United States and Canada. Julia has held other roles leading operational support and finance teams, having spent 17 years in finance-related roles. Prior to Republic, Julia worked for Arthur Andersen in the Phoenix office. Julia is the executive sponsor of Women of Republic, an Employee Resource Group. Julia has a passion for creating spaces for women to develop and succeed. Julia is also on the Board of the Environmental Research and Education Foundation, a non-profit industry research group.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Grove City College in Grove City, PA. Julia and her husband live in Phoenix with their three children.

Goode Companies is celebrating its 30th year in business this year, a milestone reached, and a dream realized. Mr. Goode is a native Washingtonian, and proud graduate of Ballou High School in Southeast, Washington, D.C.

His strong work ethic was shaped as a teen working with his father and uncles in their small trash business, collecting trash six days a week as a helper on the back of a trash truck. This experience was the start of Mr. Goode’s love for trucks and his first glimpse of the potential for success in the trash industry. Upon graduation, Mr. Goode earned his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and started driving for two independent trucking companies.

Goode Companies is a certified minority business in the City of Baltimore, Prince George’s County, and other jurisdictions through the Capitol Region Minority Supplier Development Council (CRMSDC). The Goode Companies is a mentor in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 8a Mentor Protégé Program. Michael E. Hoffman is the president and CEO of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). He has been an active member of NWRA for several years and is a veteran of the sector with decades of environmental industry financial experience.

For more than 37 years, Hoffman’s focus has been the waste and recycling industry, having most recently served as Stifel’s managing director and group head of diversified industrial research for the environmental services, specialty distribution and other industrial sectors.

Hoffman has been recognized for his expertise and contribution to the industry by being inducted into NWRA’s Hall of Fame in 2020 and ranking No. 2 in pollution control from Institutional Investor, Greenwich Associates and Reuters. He also is the 2001 owner/rider winner of the 105th Maryland Hunt Cup, an errant golfer and avid fly fisherman.
